Template:surface etymology or Template:surface analysis (as the name suggests) is for showing the surface etymology of a term with prior wording. It can also be used for showing surface-analysed compounds (where no component is an affix). Categories are also added.

Parameters

• |nocap=1 – to uncapitalise the first letter.
• All parameters in {{affix}} except |langN=.
• One may call another type of word-formation using + and the name of the appropriate template.
