This is a maintenance category for templates that are not intended for transclusion with {{ }}, and must be substituted with {{subst: }}wherever they exist. Some of the members of this category are permanent, as the template was written in such a way that it must be substituted to function properly. There may also be templates in this category that are deprecated, in which case their content has been replaced with the preferred code.
