This template generates an etymology for small katakana characters.

• In Japanese, they are: ァ, ィ, ゥ, ェ, ォ, ヵ, ヶ, ッ, ャ, ュ, ョ and ヮ.
• In Ainu, they are: ㇰ, ㇱ, ㇲ, ㇳ, ㇴ, ㇵ, ㇶ, ㇷ, ㇸ, ㇺ, ㇻ, ㇼ, ㇽ, ㇾ, ㇿ and ㇷ゚.

Usage

Place this template below the etymology header of any applicable entry.

Parameters

Positional (unnamed) parameters:

• |1= The normal (big) version of the character.
• |2= The romanization of the big version.

Named parameters:

• |lang= The code of the language. If empty, Japanese will be assumed.
