This template generates a definition line for Latin script symbols of any language.
Usage
[සංස්කරණය]This template should be added to all applicable entries written in Latin script in all languages.
As with other Wiktionary definition line templates, please do not use subst:.
Diacritical marks

Positional (unnamed) parameters:
|1=The language code. See WT:Languages.|2=The type of definition. Usediacritic.|3=and|4=The first letter with the diacritical mark.|5=and|6=The second letter with the diacritical mark, if applicable.|7=,|8=,|9=,|10=... Additional unnamed parameters follow the aforementioned pattern.
Named parameters:
|name=The name of the diacritical mark in the target language.|trans=The English translation of the name of the diacritical mark.|onecase=For letters that are only uppercase or lowercase. Just enter the single character into{{{3}}}and put something in this parameter.|dot=If you want the final punctuation to be something other than., put it in here.|noname=1If the diacritic does not have a name (or if you don't know the name).|nolist=1If the letters should be listed individually, rather than as pairs (if, for example, the diacritic is not used with capital or lowercase forms).

Letter names
[සංස්කරණය]Note: This template does categorize Latin script letter names as a topical category of each individual language, for example into Category:Latin letter names, Category:ja:Latin letter names or Category:pt:Latin letter names.

|1=The language code. See WT:Languages.|2=The type of definition. Usename.|3=The letter named.|4=A variation of the the letter named, such as a lowercase form of a capital letter.

Japanese romanized syllables
[සංස්කරණය]Note: The categorization of Japanese romanized syllables is supposed to be the work of {{ja-syllable}}, not of this template.
- Parameters
All are positional (unnamed) parameters:
|1=The language code. Useja.|2=The type of definition. Usesyllable.|3=The hiragana equivalent of the syllable. A hyphen can be input to hide from extended katakana/romaji.|4=The katakana equivalent of the syllable.|5=The current syllable in Latin script.
